Born in Chicago and living in Carol Stream IL, not like the rest of the crowd Darius "D Dukes" Thompkins Wasn't always that kid that you could hang around and feel normal. He always had a big imagination and he used it in every way. When he was 6 he used a boombox and a gamegear and made music, while a song from a level played he would freestyle to it in record using speakers from the boombox. at age 12 he would take his talents to school and rap during lunch and recess and got a name as a battle rapper challenging local rappers everyday. He amazed a lot of kids and decided he wanted to make mixtapes and give them out all around school. By the time he made it to middle school he had a buzz as the guy with lyrics. He dropped a official mixtape when he was 13 called "Have You Heard" under the rap name "Young Darius" he performed at Northwestern in Downtown Chicago and also at family reunions and parties. By the time he was 15 he was ready to bring his talents higher then before joining rap groups and doing songs he grew a bigger buzz but he felt that wasn't enough. At age 18 he was featured on more then 50 songs and mxtapes and had a huge catalog of songs himself.. He grew up listening to artists such as Cassidy, Rich Boy, Young Jeezy and Big Krit. Before picking up the mic he wanted to be the next Shaquille O'Neil but his passion for music overlooked that. He likes to still play Basketball and read his bible for comfort away from music. He was thinking about quitting music on his birthday August 28th but he had another blessing his 1 year old daughter "Damaris" and from there his dream was to become the next biggest SUPERSTAR!! He grew up with the phrase "if you don't grind, You don't eat" and also "God so loved the world he begotton his only son" But soon you all will witness the coming of "D DUKES"
